NORTHEASTERN
PENNSYLVANIA FALL COLLEGE FAIR:
The Northeastern Pennsylvania
Fall College Fair will be held at the Mellow Center for Athletics and Wellness
on the campus of Marywood University on Wednesday, October 10th, at
7:00 p.m. Over one hundred colleges and universities have been invited to
participate. Presentions regarding higher education will also be held that
evening.

There are many free scholarship searches on the Internet. The following are several of the most well known and comprehensive:
PENN
STATE WORTHINGTON SCRANTON:
Upcoming be a Penn Stater for a
day programs; all are on Wednesday, October 3, November 7 and December 5. The
day’s schedule includes a campus tour, sit in on classes, lunch, noontime
activity, career explorations, meet current students, financial aid and
admissions information. Interested students are asked to reserve their place by
calling 963-2500 or online at ws.psu.edu.
SCHOLARSHIPS:
Saint Francis University:
Saint Francis University, the oldest Franciscan
university in the country, located in Loretto, Pa
announces
the Franciscan Scholarship. The value of the award is $6,000 over four years.
$1,500 is available annually to all graduates of a Catholic high school. It is
their way of recognizing student accomplishments and assisting students in
their journey in Catholic education. For more information contact the office of

Saint Vincent College:
Saint Vincent College is proud
to announce the 27th annual Wimmer Scholarship Competition. Saint
Vincent College will award five Wimmer Scholarships. The first place winner
will be awarded full tuition and room and board to attend Saint Vincent College
for eight semesters; a scholarship valued at $140,000.A full tuition
scholarship will be awarded to each of the second through fifth place finishers
at a value of more than $90,000. These scholarships will be awarded on the
basis of performance on a competitive, general knowledge examination that will
be administered on November 17th. To participate seniors must have a
3.25 GPA or higher and must have applied for admission preceding the date of
the test. Interested students are asked to see Mr. Mellody no later than
October 31st.

going to award $25,000 in scholarships.
