ESSAY CONTEST:
EF Educational Tours is presently accepting
submissions to its annual essay competition for high school students the EF
Global Citizen Awards. The essay topic this year is to describe how a shared
experience with someone from another cultural background influenced both of you
as global citizens. Twelve winners will be selected 10 from the United States
and two from Canada. The winners will travel together on a 10-day expenses paid
international tour, courtesy of EF Educational Tours, and will receive a 30GB
iPod courtesy of Apple. Present juniors and sophomores are eligible to enter.
Applications can be downloaded at eftours.com/globalcitizen and must be
postmarked by February 28th.

students entering their senior year earn up to 8 credits in two
undergraduate courses, or pursue scientific research under faculty
guidance.

students have the unique opportunity to be Hoyas for the summer and earn
up to 12 college credits.

Washington University 6-week
pre-college program Question your perspective, think critically,
challenge what is and discover Washington, DC.

University Special course
offerings and activities in writing, drama and math offer unique
challenges. Mock college admission interviews and trips to other New
England colleges.
- Ithaca
College One, three or five
week sessions Many courses to
choose from to earn college credits. Experience college life
with many events that are both planned and spontaneous.

Statesmen Foundation An
opportunity for 250 students to experience the American political process.
Attend each of the two major party national conventions in Denver,
Colorado and then in St. Paul, Minnesota.

States Coast Guard Academy The
Academy Introduction Mission Program is a six day opportunity to
experience thrills, challenges and rewards of the Academys academic,
military and physical training. Students should be academically qualified
as well as physically and medically fit.

Annual Summer Leaders Seminar Provides outstanding high school juniors
the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the academic, physical
and leadership-development programs at a service academy.
